Who dares?

I wrote a little bit earlier about Claire Richards. North Wales needs more people like her. I’m sure North Wales already has a bunch of them; I just don’t know who they are. I’ve begun a quest to find them and, even better, CONNECT them.

People who challenge the status quo inspire one another to become even more daring. I want to see daring-ness spread across North Wales like a good YouTube video.

‘Challenge the status quo’ is pretty vague isn’t it? I’ll be a bit more specific. I want to find and connect people who are actively working to improve family and community life in North Wales. These people are probably

*In a nutshell: the world is good, people are good, but there is also a lot of brokenness and evil. God’s plan is to bring healing, wholeness and resurrection to the earth. That may sound like a lot of goofy spirituality until you look at Jesus. He announced the kingdom of God then set about demonstrating it by doing good and healing people. In the process he confronted and/or subverted everything in his culture that got in the way of people experiencing God’s goodness and healing. His ultimate confrontation and victory was his death at the hands of the local and imperial power structures that he threatened and then his subsequent resurrection. Finally, he commissioned his followers to go do what he did. And he left us with the example of a really great attitude. He said, ‘Whoever is not against you is for you.’ So, welcome to the team.

I’ve already written about Claire Richards. And I think i61 (my church) is doing a good job of doing. There are a few others, but beyond that I don’t know too many people, yet. You probably know a few though. Tell us about them!

PS All comments are moderated at the moment, but I try to get them live ASAP.
